Hector Hydrant Sneezes a Garden

Inside the film.

Hector has two brass arms, three pressure dials and no control over the flower clouds that erupt whenever anyone approaches. Teased by the rigid utility posts of the invented Hardpan Quarter, he hides beneath a road plate until roller-skating seed courier Pip discovers that each sneeze follows a different color. Together they choreograph the bursts into a moving garden, teaching the district that useful infrastructure can protect life in more than one way.
