Two Pulses on One Handrail

Inside the film.

Singer Vale occupies the upper landing of a white stair void while dancer Ren moves below, neither able to see the other around the turn. Their palms awaken a single brass rail that swells, loops and carries each pulse through the wall as visible bands of color. The song accelerates until both bodies are lifted into opposite arcs around the same metal curve, meeting not on a landing but inside the rhythm their touch has taught the public stair.
